The Tank

A few months ago I picked up an empty SCUBA tank from a dive shop in Garland with the intention of painting it to act as a display item.

I sanded that bad boy down.

and after getting it all shinny and clean
I'm currently in the process of applying primer to it so that the paint has a better contrast as a base.

When it's finished I hope to airbrush some awesome coral and other sea-life to it and get it back in a dive shop to advertise both my work and the equipment. If all goes well I might look into doing custom paint jobs on SCUBA tanks once I can pick-up better materials. as it stands this one will have a clear varnish to protect against scratching but I wouldn't expect it to protect against much else.
